The site sits within
a hairpin curve and is bounded on the east by a ski lift easement.
It is one of four parcels to be developed as a village center.
Due to density restrictions, we developed a courtyard scheme with
covered parking underneath. The design of stacked flats with wood
siding and wood shingle roof was brought within budget. Energy
requirements, sight angle restrictions, height, bulk and mass
limitations all played a part in the complex formula of allowable
construction. Tomas Frank lead the team of 6 people at WTA to
produce the design for this un-built project. |
